This map of California represents the American viticultural Areas of California. To date there are 138. An American Viticultural Area is a delimited grape-growing region having distinguishing features as described in the Code of Federal Regulations. These designations allow vintners and consumers to attribute a given quality, reputation, or other characteristic of a wine made from grapes grown in an area to its geographic origin. The establishment of viticultural areas allows vintners to describe more accurately the origin of their wines to consumers and helps consumers to identify wines they may purchase.
*Please note: The paper print dimensions include a .25" border on all 4 sides within the final size of the print. The canvas prints have an additional 1.875" canvas border on all 4 sides for stretching. The watermark on the thumbnail will not be on the final print.
